Yourindiefilm is a film festival that takes place twice a year. Sign up now. It is free to use for everyone. Yourindiefilm is for short films of all genres. You must sign up to submit films and vote. Films are screened for illegal or explicit content before being posted. Maximum file size is 256 MB or approximately 20 minutes in duration.

The difference between yourindiefilm and other festivals is that users participate in the festival by voting for their favorite films. Users will select the top ten most popular films as determined by the number of votes each film receives. The winner will then be determined by a panel of industry leading producers, writers and directors. Users can vote up to three times. One vote per film. Once the festival is over the votes will be reset and the festival will start over again. Your film will automatically be submitted in the next festival. There are no restrictions on when the film was made, or the country of origin.

The popular vote will determine the top ten films. Each of the top ten films will then be shown to an industry leading panel of writers, directors and producers who will select the winner. The winner will receive a framed Yourindiefilm certificate. There is no cash prize for the 2012 contest.

• Each registered user is entitled to 3 votes in the festival.
• One vote per film.
• Votes cannot be changed once submitted.
• The votes will be accounted for starting February 1st 2011 and ending at 12:00 AM Pacific Time on April 1st, 2011.
• We do not accept mailed in hard copies, films must be uploaded to the site.
