When Commissar Kurn leads a group of men in search of missing soldiers its only too late that they realize the scouts' fates.

The opening shots of the movie take place on Lake Ontario in -10 degree weather. The warmest any of the shooting days got was 25 degrees. It was so cold the glue and paint on some of the props started to just fall off. The coffee and food also froze solid. The alien sounds are modulated tones of a freind makeing cat noises. The orginal story was written at 4am in the morning, it was 5 pages and took place all in one location at the fort.
