Catfight: (Hello, Nurse.)

"What the hell is it with catfights?" I explore the idea of female aggression as I create a series of paintings where geishas, nurses and stewardesses battle it out in oils. Why is it that this aggression gets morphed into images that are sexually charged? A funny, thoughtful, visually striking piece about artistic creation and how imagery can be both ridiculous and profound as well as being the impetus for 21st century oil paintings by a painter with strong and occasionally guilty feminist leanings.

This film was shown at the XEXE gallery in Toronto where all the paintings seen in the film were first hung.
