Undead Forever

Undead Forever is set in the land of the dead. It focuses on the characters of Ed and Steve, who run into each other in the street. Steve begins to talk to Ed but quickly finds that he is unable to remember what he was going to say. Ed Realizes that Steve also cannot remember who he is and takes Steve to see his friend Dr. Marrow, who finds that Steve cannot remember his own death. The Doctor believes that his death may be at the heart of his memory problem. Dr. Marrow discusses his own death in graphic detail in the hope that it will trigger a memory in Steve's mind. This proves unsuccessful so Dr. Marrow proceeds to perform a Past-Death-Hypnosis technique. This plunges Steve head-long into his own subconscious. The Doctor uses a code word to unlock the circumstances of Steve's death . A series of objects relevant to Steve's death then materialize. These objects prove too cryptic to enlighten Steve as to circumstances of his death, but they do remind him who he is. Having remembered who he is Steve is satisfied with the Doctor's efforts. Steve then remembers that the expansion and exploration of the subconscious was precisely what he had intended to speak to ed about in the first place. The closing credits run over a scene of the two main characters floating through the inner world of their subconscious

This is my fifth short film and second animated film. This time around, being a full-time Teacher I found that it was going to be very difficult to fit the shooting schedule into my free time and the free time of a cast and crew. So rather than making a live-action film that required a cast and crew I decided to do away with them by making an animated film, playing all the characters myself and taking care of the entire production myself. This made the process much more time consuming than if I had worked with a crew, but it meant that I could fit the production into my own time and not have to juggle with the availability of others. I currently live in Melbourne, Australia but was living in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia at the time of production.
