Miced - War of the Little Worlds (Furry Little Mice battle Aliens!)
The filming was done with a Samsung NV15 Digital Camera in my own home. Since this was the first time I've ever done a claymation film (I've only done cartoons before), I had to become familiar with all the issues with doing any form of stop-motion video. Right away I came across my biggest problem: Lighting. One who has never done claymation before would not think lighting would have much of an impact on a film, but it does. I had discovered that without consistent lighting, it causes heavy flickering in the animation. To keep consistent lighting, I had to block out the outside lighting whenever possible. The problem with outside lighting is that the sun moves in the sky throughout the day. Shadows will move on the set following the path of the sun. I had to digitally clean of some scenes on my computer because of this, which took some time. Another problem was keeping characters in place. Sometimes while I was shooting my scenes, a figure might fall over and mess up the animation. I had to redo some scenes because of this. Doing this film was an enriching experience for me. I learned a lot on what makes a claymation film "work"' and look forward to making more in the future.

Equipment and Format
I used a Samsung NV15 digital camera for the digital pictures in my animation. The pictures were then edited in Adobe Photoshop and then imported into Microsoft Movie Maker on my computer. Since I can't write music, I had find a different way to make my own music. What I found was that if I hummed a song using Akoff's Music Composer, it would convert my voice to a midi file. I would set the midi to the sound font I liked in Outer Texas Music's Audio Compositor. Then I would had other instruments (like drums and such) through a program called Music Maker. I would then import the music I created into Movie Maker as well.
