This short takes a look at life in the townships in the late 1970’s, through the eyes of Esther Mtini.
As a young woman, Esther moved from the Tanskei to Cape Town, in search of work. She remembers the violent marches and protests against the Apartheid government: the humiliation of having to carry around Passbooks, police brutality and how cultural and racial attitudes in South Africa have changed since then.
