Charity

To avoid being bashed, a shifty con-artist wants to borrow money from his friend who just won a heap of cash, but that friend gave it all away to charity.

Charity began as a practical experience in Over the Shoulder Dialogue. Steven is the core of the project. First thing was to scout out the possible locations so Steve got Tony to film his property. From that, Steven constructed a story around the locations. The shoot was 4 hours with an hour for lunch. Steven was the only one who had acted before. The fist hour and a half turned out to be rehearsal since the camera battery ran out, and the cloud cover disappeared, and the wind picked up and ruined the audio. The external mic needed two of Tony's thick socks to stop the wind noise. The trees and wind delivered a fair bit of ambient noise and the car driving sections had to be totally redone with fragments of the audio from the cloudy rehearsals. All the footsteps had to be included, and then extra ambient sound was needed in post. Pinnacle 12 was the editing software with the pathetic 4 tracks of audio, one of which had to be muted since it was attached to the original video. 4 main tracks were used. Dialogue, Sound FX, Footsteps, and ambient. Two had to be mixed for the final edit. And Charity survived over 200 Pinnacle crashes. Steven has been into music for over 25 years. He recorded numerous songs. He has had award winning still photography and taken many photos for the past 20 years. He has been writing story in the form of songs for 25 years and has been writing short stories and screenplays for the past 10 years. Trained by Michael Hauge, Blake Snyder, and Hal Croasmun.
